Assistive listening device definition

Assistive listening device or “ALD” means a per- sonal communication unit for sound amplification. One type of “assistive listening device” is a hearing aid.
Assistive listening device means an auxiliary aid which enhances ease of communication, telephone communication, and reception of important warning signals.
Assistive listening device means an amplification system that operates in conjunction with a hearing aid to increase the volume of sounds for the hearing aid only.
