Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing Laws definition

Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing Laws means all laws concerning or relating to money laundering or terrorist financing, including the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (Canada), the Bank Secrecy Act, 31 U.S.C. sections 5301 et seq., the USA PATRIOT Act, Laundering of Monetary Instruments, 18 U.S.C. section 1956, Engaging in Monetary Transactions in Property Derived from Specified Unlawful Activity, 18 U.S.C. section 1957, the Financial Recordkeeping and Reporting of Currency and Foreign Transactions Regulations, 31 C.F.R. Chapter X (Parts 1000 et. seq.) and any similar laws currently in force or hereafter enacted (and including any regulations, rules, guidelines or orders thereunder) and, in any case, which are applicable to the Parent Guarantor or its Subsidiaries.

  • No part of the proceeds of any Loan will be used directly or, to the Parent Guarantor’s knowledge, indirectly, to fund any operations in, finance any investments or activities in, or make any payments to, any Sanctioned Person in any manner that would result in any violation of any Sanctions, Anti-Corruption Laws or Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing Laws.

  • The Borrower shall use the Credit Facilities solely for the purposes described in Section 2.1(d), (z) Sanctions; Anti-Corruption Laws; Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing Laws.

  • Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Laws shall have the meaning assigned thereto in Section 3.1(f)(i).

  • Anti-Money Laundering Laws means any and all laws, statutes, regulations or obligatory government orders, decrees, ordinances or rules related to terrorism financing, money laundering, any predicate crime to money laundering or any financial record keeping, including any applicable provision of the PATRIOT Act and The Currency and Foreign Transactions Reporting Act (also known as the “Bank Secrecy Act,” 31 U.S.C. §§ 5311-5330 and 12 U.S.C. §§ 1818(s), 1820(b) and 1951-1959).

  • Applicable Anti-Money Laundering Law shall have the meaning assigned to such term in Section 6.11.

  • Terrorist Act means any actual or threatened use of force or violence directed at or causing damage, injury, harm or disruption, or commission of an act dangerous to human life or property, against any individual, property or government, with the stated or unstated objective of pursuing economic, ethnic, nationalistic, political, racial or religious interests, whether such interests are declared or not. Criminal acts, primarily committed for personal gain and acts arising primarily from prior personal relationships between perpetrator(s) and victim(s) shall not be considered terrorist acts. Terrorist act also includes any act, which is verified or recognised by the (relevant) Government as an act of terrorism.

  • Anti-Terrorism Law means any Law in force or hereinafter enacted related to terrorism, money laundering, or economic sanctions, including Executive Order No. 13224, the USA PATRIOT Act, the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, 50 U.S.C. 1701, et. seq., the Trading with the Enemy Act, 50 U.S.C. App. 1, et. seq., 18 U.S.C. § 2332d, and 18 U.S.C. § 2339B, and any regulations or directives promulgated under these provisions.

  • terrorist offences means offences as defined in Article 3(1) of Directive (EU) 2017/541;

  • Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery Laws means the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, as amended, any rules or regulations thereunder, or any other applicable United States or non-U.S. anti-corruption or anti-bribery laws or regulations.

  • Proceeds of Crime Act means the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (Canada), as amended from time to time, and including all regulations thereunder.

  • Applicable Anti-Corruption and Bribery Laws means international, federal, state, provincial and local laws, rules, regulations, directives and governmental requirements currently in effect and as they become effective relating in any way to the Contractor’s provision of goods and/or services to Authority, including without limitation “FCPA” or any applicable laws and regulations, including in the jurisdiction in which the Contractor operates and/or manufac- tures goods for the Authority, relating to anti-corruption and bribery.

  • Foreign terrorist organization means an organization designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States secretary of state as authorized by 8 U.S.C. Section 1189.

  • Executive Order shall have the meaning assigned to such term in Section 3.22.

  • OFAC Sanctions means any sanctions program administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the United States Department of the Treasury (“OFAC”) under authority delegated to the Secretary of the Treasury (the “Secretary”) by the President of the United States or provided to the Secretary by statute, and any order or license issued by, or under authority delegated by, the President or provided to the Secretary by statute in connection with a sanctions program thus administered by OFAC. For ease of reference, and not by way of limitation, OFAC Sanctions programs are described on OFAC’s website at xxx.xxxxx.xxx/xxxx.

  • Proceeds of crime means any property derived from or obtained, directly or indirectly, through the commission of an offence;

  • Administrative order means a written notice from the commissioners to the landowner or landowners of record and to the occupants of land informing them they are violating the district’s soil loss limit regulations or maintenance agreement and advising them of action required to conform to the regulations.

  • Executive Order No. 13224 means the Executive Order No. 13224 on Terrorist Financing, effective September 24, 2001, as the same has been, or shall hereafter be, renewed, extended, amended or replaced.
