Amdoxovir means (i) (beta)-D-Dioxolanyl purines of the formula set forth below wherein R is OH, Cl, NH2, or H, and X is H, alkyl, acyl, monophosphate, diphosphate or triphosphate; (ii) all 5' alkylated and acylated and N6 acylated derivatives thereof; (iii) any salts, esters, racemic mixtures and purified enantiomers of any of the foregoing; and (iv) any and all polymorphs, hydrates and solvates of any of the foregoing.
