Aggravated misdemeanor definition

Aggravated misdemeanor means an offense so defined in the Iowa Code or an offense committed in another jurisdiction with a penalty of imprisonment for two years or more.

  • Misdemeanor as used in this Code shall mean any offense deemed a violation of the provisions of this Code which is a lesser offense than a felony as defined by state law.
