We welcomed the Extension of the ASEAN-Republic of Korea Forest Cooperation (AFoCo) Agreement.

We noted with satisfaction the activities and programmes on sustainable forest management, rehabilitation and restoration of degraded forest and capacity building in ASEAN under the ASEAN-ROK Forest Cooperation (AFoCo) Agreement, which terminated on 4 August 2016.
Subject to approval by the Governing Council, the taskforce for assessment for implementation of the AFoCo Agreement will independently monitor the progress of the implementation of the activities and report to the Governing Council under the terms and conditions set forth by the Governing Council.
As agreed and guided by the Governing Council of AFoCo Agreement, KFS is committed to support funding for the implementation of “ASEAN-ROK Forest Cooperation Project: Promotion of forest rehabilitation in Cambodia and Viet Nam through demonstration models and improvement of seed supply system” (hereinafter referred to as “Project”).
