As soon as reasonably practicable after the date of this Agreement, the Parties shall each make a premerger notification filing in respect of the transactions contemplated by this Agreement with the Commissioner in accordance with Part IX of the Competition Act unless mutually agreed otherwise, and Pan American shall submit a request to the Commissioner for an Advance Ruling Certificate and/or a No Action Letter in respect of the transactions contemplated by this Agreement.
Purchaser and Vendor agree that, if the Parties deem it advisable, a request for an Advance Ruling Certificate may be made at the same time as any other necessary filings and notifications.

ConocoPhillips shall prepare and file, on behalf of the Parties, as promptly as practicable with the Competition Bureau, a request for an Advance Ruling Certificate under Section 102 of the Competition Act (Canada) and shall furnish such supplemental information as may be requested by the Competition Bureau in connection therewith.
