Advance Rent definition

Advance Rent means moneys paid to the landlord to be applied to future rent payment periods, but does not include rent paid in advance for a current rent payment period.
Advance Rent means, for any given month, any Rent that has been prepaid more than thirty (30) days in advance, as measured from the date of determination.
Advance Rent. TENANT agrees to pay the sum of $2,000.00 as advance rent representing payment for the last month of lease term or any renewal. If TENANT'S check is dishonored, all future payments must be made by money order or cashier's check dishonored checks will be subject to the greater of 5% of the check amount or a $40.00 charge as additional rent. If LANDLORD has actual knowledge that there are insufficient funds to cover a check, rent will be considered unpaid, LANDLORD may serve TENANT with a Three Day Notice and will not be required to deposit the check. Third party checks are not permitted. Time is of the essence. The imposition of late fees and/or dishonored check charges is not a substitution or waiver of available Florida law remedies. If rent is not received by the 1st day of each month, LANDLORD may serve a Three Day Notice on the next day or any day thereafter as allowed by law, and LANDLORD has the right to demand that late payments shall only be in the form of a money order or a certified check. All signatories to this lease are jointly and severally responsible for the faithful performance of this lease. All payments made shall first be applied to any outstanding balances of any kind including late charges and/or any other charges due under this lease. All notices by TENANT to LANDLORD shall be sent to LANDLORD'S address above by certified mail.

Examples of Advance Rent in a sentence

  • In the event you fail to honour your contractual obligations in relation to the payment of rent on the due dates before occupation of the Room, we may cancel your tenancy agreement by giving you notice in writing of cancellation; in the circumstances we will not repay the Advance Rent payment made by you to us.

  • In the event that we cancel the tenancy agreement at any time before occupation of the Room by you, we shall give you as much advanced written notice as we can in the circumstances and will repay the Advance Rent payment to you and any other fees that we have taken from you in connection with the tenancy.

  • In the event you fail to take all reasonable steps to enter into a confirmed tenancy agreement within 7 days of submitting an application, we reserve the right to retain the Advance Rent payment.

  • If your notice of cancellation is received by us in writing prior to the tenancy agreement being confirmed, and within 7 days of submitting an application, we will make no charge and your Advance Rent payment will be refunded in full.

  • Amounts deposited from time to time in the Advance Rent Subaccount pursuant to this Section 6.7.1 are referred to herein as the “Advance Rent Funds”.


More Definitions of Advance Rent

Advance Rent means, as to any Lease, Rent paid by Lessee in advance of the Acceptance Date for the related Equipment or otherwise intended to be treated as "Advance Rent" under this Master Agreement and the applicable Schedule.
Advance Rent will accrue on each Advance and be payable as set forth below. If Lessee fails to accept, pursuant to Section 1.3 of the Lease Agreement, any Unit for which Lessor advances funds as set forth above, Lessee shall on demand of Lessor purchase the Unit from Lessor for the amount of the funds advanced by Lessor or which Lessor may be obligated to advance and any other costs or obligations incurred by Lessor in connection therewith, plus all accrued and unpaid Advance Rent with respect to the Unit to the date of purchase of the Unit by Lessee from Lessor.
Advance Rent. The amount specified in Section 1.8 (B) is paid to Landlord upon execution of this Lease as advance Rent; provided, however, that such amount shall be held by Landlord as a Security Deposit pursuant to the Lease until it is applied by Landlord to the Minimum Monthly Rent.
Advance Rent means the rent paid in advance of the due date, being the amount specified in the Application Form, the Specific Terms or otherwise the lesser of the value of two times the Rental Payment;
Advance Rent shall have the meaning ascribed to it in Clause 2.1.3(ii).
Advance Rent shall have the meaning assigned to that term in Section 5(g) of this Lease.
Advance Rent means the sum of $40,536.02. See Section 4.
