Administrative Intern definition

Administrative Intern positions serve at the discretion of the District. The teachers serving in these positions remain in the bargaining unit. District Administration may end this assignment if they so choose then they would be assigned to a teaching position in the District the following year. Either party must notify the other by February 1 of the current year with any changes for the following year.
Administrative Intern means a University student enrolled at the University assigned by it to complete an internship in the School Corporation, as part of his preparation for entering the educational administrative profession.

Examples of Administrative Intern in a sentence

  • No teacher shall be appointed to a full time Administrative Intern basis for more than one (1) full school year.

  • An Administrative Intern shall have no authority to render a decision on a grievance at any step of this procedure.

  • Upon request, the Department of Employee Services shall provide a copy of the minimum qualifications necessary for the positions of Administrative Intern, Assistant Principal and Principal.

  • It is understood that the Superintendent will develop an Administrative Intern Program to accommodate these request, but shall not be limited to participants in such a program to fill leave vacancies.

  • Upon request, the Department of Human Resources shall provide a copy of the minimum qualifications necessary for the positions of Administrative Intern, Assistant Principal and Principal.

  • The Acting Administrator and Administrative Intern positions shall be temporary full-time administrative positions.

  • The term of office for the position of Administrative Intern shall be specified when the position is posted.

  • If the Acting Administrator or Administrative Intern accepts a permanent position as an administrator or separates from the district, the former PEA bargaining unit position shall be immediately posted as a contract vacancy.

  • The positions of Acting Administrator and Administrative Intern shall be limited to no more than two years in length, after which the individual shall return to a position within the PEA bargaining in which they are certified.

  • In the event that an Acting Administrator or Administrative Intern is complained against or sued in any court of record or before any administrative agency as a result of actions in the proper performance of their duties and within the scope of their employment, the District will provide legal counsel and render all necessary assistance to the Acting Administrator and/or Administrative Intern in their defense consistent with the requirements of the Political Subdivision Tort Claims Act, 42Pa.C.S.A. 8548.
