Adjusted Pre-Tax Profit definition

Adjusted Pre-Tax Profit means the earnings before taxes as reported in the Consolidated Statements of Earnings of the Company for the fiscal year of the Company coinciding with the Performance Period, adjusted to exclude from the determination of such amount the reduction in earnings resulting from the accrual of compensation expense for Performance Awards under the Plan and incentive awards under the Second Amended and Restated Ross Stores, Inc. Incentive Compensation Plan or any successor to such plan, granted in each case, with respect to the Performance Period.
Adjusted Pre-Tax Profit means EBIT plus deferred financing costs and other non-recurring expenses approved by the Compensation Committee or the Board of Directors as set forth on the audited annual financial statements of the Company and, when appropriate to the calculations, the internally generated financial statements for each month and quarter of the fiscal year, prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Adjusted Pre-Tax Profit means for any Fiscal Year the figure obtained after making additions and adjustments to Pre-tax Profit for any applicable items set forth in subsections (c), (d) and (e).
