Acyl definition

Acyl means any alkyl, alkenyl, or alkynyl wherein the carbon at the point of attachment is substituted with an oxo group,as defined below. For example, -C(=0)alkyl, -C(=0)alkenyl, and -C(=0)alkynyl are acyl groups.
Acyl means a -C(0)R group, where R can be selected from the nonlimiting group of hydrogen or optionally substituted lower aikyl, trihalomethyl, unsubstituted cycloalkyl, aryl, or other suitable substituent.
