Acute violation definition

Acute violation means an exceedance of an MCL for a contaminant, for example, fecal coliform or nitrates, that is likely to have immediate health effects.
Acute violation means a violation of the maximum contaminant levels of contaminants that may pose an acute risk to human health. The following violations are acute violations:
