Active staff definition

Active staff or “Active Medical Staff” means those Medical Staff Members who routinely utilize the Hospital services, exercise those privileges granted by the Board of Directors to provide care for their patients, and assume all the duties and responsibilities of appointment on the Active Medical staff including but not limited to service on committees and attendance at Medical Staff meetings.
Active staff means the Practitioners to whom section 3.2 of these Rules applies.
Active staff or "Active Medical Staff" means those practitioners whom the Medical Staff Executive Committee (MSEC) determines are located closely enough to the Hospital to provide continuous care to their patients, and who assume all the functions and responsibilities of appointment on the Active Medical Staff and consultation assignments. Reference Article IV.

Examples of Active staff in a sentence

  • The Hospital Medical-Dental Active staff (or equivalent) of each of the clinical Departments and/or programs of the Hospital where Students are taught (as listed in the clinical Student teaching placements) shall consist of a Chief and such other members as it is mutually agreed upon from time-to-time between the Hospital and the University as are necessary to render exemplary teaching and research.

  • The Hospital Medical-Dental Active staff (or equivalent) of each of the clinical departments and/or programs of the Hospital where Students are taught (as listed in the clinical a list of Student teaching placements agreed to by the University and the Hospital (see III.2 below)) shall consist of a Chief and such other members as it is mutually agreed upon from time-to-time between the Hospital and the University as are necessary to render exemplary teaching and research.

More Definitions of Active staff

Active staff. , means the category of members of the Medical Staff, Dental Staff or, as applicable, Midwifery Staff, as more fully defined in Section 15 of this By-law.
Active staff means Staff Members who meet all qualifications for Active Staff as defined in these Bylaws, and have been granted Active Staff status by the Board.

Active staff means those Medical Staff members who have declared the Hospital to be their primary hospital for the practice of medicine and other related hospital activities, and who have been recognized by the Medical Staff by formal review processes to be members in good standing clinically and in all other ways referred to in these Bylaws

  • Active status means the Employee's Employment status from the Effective Date to the Termination Date.

  • Active Service means a Covered Person is either 1) actively at work performing all regular duties at his or her employer’s place of business or someplace the employer requires him or her to be; 2) employed, but on a scheduled holiday, vacation day, or period of approved paid leave of absence; or 3) if not employed, able to engage in substantially all of the usual activities of a person in good health of like age and sex and not confined in a Hospital or rehabilitation or rest facility.

  • Supervisory employee means any employee having authority, in the interest of the District, to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline other employees, or responsibility to direct them, or to adjust their grievances, or effectively to recommend such action if, in connection with the foregoing, the exercise of such authority is not of a merely routine or clerical nature, but requires the use of independent judgment.

  • PCP means a provider who gives or directs health care services for you. PCPs include internists, family practitioners, general practitioners, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN), Physician Assistants (PA), obstetrician gynecologist (ob-gyn) and pediatricians or any other practice allowed by us. A PCP supervises, directs and gives initial care and basic medical services to you and is in charge of your ongoing care.
