Academic Years definition

Academic Years means a period of 12 (twelve) months from the 1st June of a particular year to the 31st May of the following year.

Examples of Academic Years in a sentence

  • Reporting Period: Last Five Academic Years (2016-2017 to 2020-2021).

  • Programmes of MLR Institute of Technology are of semester pattern, with 8 Semesters constituting 4 Academic Years, each Academic Year having TWO Semesters (First/Odd and Second/Even Semesters).

  • Students who fail to earn minimum of 160 Credits as per the Course Structure, and as indicated above, within 8 Academic Years from the Date of Commencement of their I Year shall forfeit their seats in B.Tech Programme and their admissions shall stand cancelled.

  • Programmes of CMR College of Engineering & Technology are of semester pattern, with 8 Semesters constituting 4 Academic Years, each Academic Year having two Semesters (First/Odd and Second/Even).

  • The existing Institutions approved by the Council of Architecture/ Pharmacy Council of India in the previous Academic Years without having approval from AICTE.

  • Validity of the Letter of Approval for the new Technical Institutions, if issued, shall be for two Academic Years from the date of issue of Letter of Approval, only for obtaining affiliation from the respective University/ Board and fulfiling State Government/ UT requirements for admission in the current Academic Year.

  • Each UG Programme is of 4 Academic Years (8 Semesters), with the year being divided into two Semesters of minimum 90 Instructional days/Semester and in addition each Semester having - ‘Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE)’ and ‘Semester End Examination (SEE)’.

  • In each of the succeeding Academic Years, the School may provide instruction to students in accordance with Schedule I below.

  • In case of new Technical Institutions, the Council if deems fit shall grant approval to issue Letter of Intent (LoI) for the given Academic Year, the same shall be valid for two Academic Years.

  • The Pathway Plan should be explicit in the details of skills the young person needs to learn and how the young person will learn them.

Related to Academic Years

  • Academic year means the period of twelve months beginning on 1st January, 1st April, 1st July or 1st September according to whether the course in question begins in the winter, the spring, the summer or the autumn respectively but if students are required to begin attending the course during August or September and to continue attending through the autumn, the academic year of the course is to be considered to begin in the autumn rather than the summer;

  • Academic employee Academic employee shall mean an employee in the Professional Services Negotiating Unit with academic or qualified academic rank.

  • Academic term means a division of the school year during which a course of studies is offered, and includes a semester, quarter, or single consolidated summer term as defined by the institution.

  • Teaching Experience means full-time employment as a teacher in a public school, private school licensed or accredited by the State Board of Education, or institution of higher education,

  • scientific research means any activity in the field of natural or applied science for the extension of knowledge;

  • Academic Unit means one of the listed Departments or Schools of Acadia University.

  • Research Period means the research period as described in the Commissioned Research Plan. In accordance with the provisions of this Agreement, in the event that the Agreement ended prior to the completion date of the research originally set, the date the Agreement ends shall be read as the research period.

  • Collaboration Term has the meaning set forth in Section 2.1(h).

  • Disabled parking license plate means a license plate that displays the international symbol of access

  • Academic Board means the Academic Board of the University College established under paragraph 13;

  • Basic research means any original investigation for the advancement of scientific or technological knowledge that will enhance the research capacity of this state in a way that increases the ability to attract to or develop companies, jobs, researchers, or students in this state.

  • Biological safety cabinet means a containment unit suitable for the preparation of low to moderate risk agents where there is a need for protection of the product, personnel, and environment, according to National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) Standard 49.

  • Annual Net Sales means, with respect to any Calendar Year, the aggregate amount of the Net Sales for such Calendar Year.

  • Research Use shall have the meaning given in Section 2.2.2 of this Agreement.

  • Massive Multiauthor Collaboration Site (or “MMC Site”) means any World Wide Web server that publishes copyrightable works and also provides prominent facilities for anybody to edit those works. A public wiki that anybody can edit is an example of such a server. A “Massive Multiauthor Collaboration” (or “MMC”) contained in the site means any set of copyrightable works thus published on the MMC site.

  • Crop year means any 12 month period which represents the planting, growing, harvesting and marketing of an insurable crop, as stated in the Schedules;

  • Royalty Year means, (i) for the year in which the First Commercial Sale occurs (the “First Royalty Year”), the period commencing with the first day of the Calendar Quarter in which the First Commercial Sale occurs and expiring on the last day of the Calendar Year in which the First Commercial Sale occurs and (ii) for each subsequent year, each successive Calendar Year.

  • Commencement of Commercial Production means the first occurrence of Commercial Production in an Area.

  • School year means the period beginning July 1 and ending June 30 next following.

  • Academic Council means the Academic Council of the University;

  • Traditional Territory means, subject to a Yukon First Nation Final Agreement, with respect to each Yukon First Nation and each Yukon Indian Person enrolled in that Yukon First Nation's Final Agreement, the geographic area within the Yukon identified as that Yukon First Nation's Traditional Territory on the map referred to in 2.9.0.

  • industrial effluent means any liquid, whether or not containing matter in solution or suspension, which is emitted in the course of or as a result of any trade or industrial operation, including a mining operation, and includes any liquid besides soil water or waste water or stormwater;

  • Calendar Year means each successive period of twelve (12) months commencing on January 1 and ending on December 31.

  • Union territory means the territory of—

  • Core academic subjects means English, reading or language arts, mathematics, science, foreign languages, civic and government, economics, arts, history, and geography.

  • Research means a methodical investigation into a subject.
