Academic Exercise definition

Academic Exercise means all forms of work (oral, written, electronic, or otherwise) submitted for credit, grading, continuance, graduation, honors, awards, scholarships, or recognition at the University as well as materials submitted to other institutions, associations, or organizations for evaluation (including evaluation for awards or scholarships) or for publication. The term “Academic Exercise” does not include “Misconduct in Scientific Research and Other Scholarly Activity” as defined in BOV 1426: Policy, Procedures and Timeline for Responding to Allegations of Misconduct in Scientific Research and Scholarly Activity. Students found to be responsible for violating BOV 1426 may be referred to the Office of Student Conduct & Academic Integrity for application of sanctions under this Code.

Related to Academic Exercise

  • Automatic Exercise Applicable; and means that for each Expiration Date, a number of Warrants equal to the Daily Number of Warrants for such Expiration Date will be deemed to be automatically exercised at the Expiration Time on such Expiration Date.

  • Net Exercise means a Net Exercise as defined in Section 6.3(b)(iii).

  • Academic year means the period of twelve months beginning on 1st January, 1st April, 1st July or 1st September according to whether the course in question begins in the winter, the spring, the summer or the autumn respectively but if students are required to begin attending the course during August or September and to continue attending through the autumn, the academic year of the course is to be considered to begin in the autumn rather than the summer;

  • Election to Exercise shall have the meaning ascribed thereto in Clause 2.2(d)(ii);

  • Appreciation means a realized or unrealized increase in the value of property.

  • Cash Exercise with respect to Warrant Shares; and/or

  • Broker Exercise Notice means a written notice pursuant to which a Participant, upon exercise of an Option, irrevocably instructs a broker or dealer to sell a sufficient number of shares or loan a sufficient amount of money to pay all or a portion of the exercise price of the Option and/or any related withholding tax obligations and remit such sums to the Company and directs the Company to deliver stock certificates to be issued upon such exercise directly to such broker or dealer.

  • Academic Unit means one of the listed Departments or Schools of Acadia University.

  • Free-Standing Appreciation Right means an Appreciation Right granted pursuant to Section 5 of this Plan that is not granted in tandem with an Option Right.

  • SAR Exercise Price means the per share exercise price of a SAR granted to a Grantee under Section 9 hereof.

  • Exercise Event shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in Section 2(c).

  • Development Application means the development application identified in Item 5 of Schedule 1 and includes all plans, reports models, photomontages, material boards (as amended supplemented) submitted to the consent authority before the determination of that Development Application.

  • Warrant Exercise Period shall commence (subject to Section 6(d) below), on the later of:

  • Sui Generis Database Rights means rights other than copyright resulting from Directive 96/9/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 1996 on the legal protection of databases, as amended and/or succeeded, as well as other essentially equivalent rights anywhere in the world.

  • Internal Collaboration means collaborative arrangements within a group of companies or within various strategic business. units/subsidiaries/operating divisions in order to gain a strategic position whilst sharing resources, profits and losses as well as risks

In connection with any redemption pursuant to this Section 6.2, the Company shall provide the Registered Holders with the Redemption Fair Market Value no later than one (1) Business Day after the ten (10) trading day period described above ends. The share prices set forth in the column headings of the table above shall be adjusted as of any date on which the number of shares issuable upon exercise of a Warrant or the Warrant Price is adjusted pursuant to Section 4 hereof. In the event of a Warrant Price adjustment pursuant to Section 4.3, the adjusted share prices in the column headings shall equal the share prices immediately such adjustment, multiplied by a fraction, the numerator of which is the Warrant Price after such adjustment and the denominator of which is the Warrant Price immediately after such adjustment. In such an event, the number of shares in the table above shall be adjusted by multiplying such share amounts by a fraction, the numerator of which is the number of shares deliverable upon exercise of a Warrant immediately prior to such adjustment and the denominator of which is the number of shares deliverable upon exercise of a Warrant as so adjusted. If the Warrant Price is adjusted pursuant to Section 4.4, the adjusted share prices set forth in the column headings of the table above shall be multiplied by a fraction, the numerator of which is the higher of the Market Value and the Newly Issued Price and the denominator of which is $10.00. In no event will the number of shares issued in connection with a Make-Whole Exercise exceed 0.361 Ordinary Shares per Warrant (subject to adjustment).

  • Total Exercise Price shall have the meaning set forth in Section 4(a) hereof.
