At the sole discretion of the employer, years of experience in an occupation or occupations closely related to an employee’s main duties may be recognized for placing an Educational Assistant on the Educational Assistant salary grid, a Remedial Tutor on the Remedial Tutor salary grid, or a Yukon First Nations Language Teacher on the Aboriginal Language Teacher salary grid.
An Aboriginal Language and Cultural Specialist who does not have the minimum qualifications specified for Level A of the salary schedule will be paid at the minimum rate of Level A.
