Aboriginal Heritage Survey definition

Aboriginal Heritage Survey means an ethnographic and/or archaeological survey (including a physical inspection) of an area of land and/or waters in order to avoid possible damage to Aboriginal Site(s) or Aboriginal Object(s). To avoid doubt, an Aboriginal Heritage Survey includes a Survey.
Aboriginal Heritage Survey means a survey conducted to assess the potential impacts of an Activity on Aboriginal Heritage, whether or not conducted under an Aboriginal Heritage Agreement and may include anthropological, ethnographic or archaeological investigations as appropriate.

Examples of Aboriginal Heritage Survey in a sentence

  • In coming to its decision SWALSC shall take into account: the extent to which the Activity Program described in the Activity Notice consists of Low Ground Disturbance Activities; and the extent to which the land and waters the subject of the Activity Notice have been the subject of a previous Aboriginal Heritage Survey.

  • Where no previous Aboriginal Heritage Survey (whether under this NSHA or otherwise) has been undertaken in relation to the area of land and waters the subject of the Activity Notice, there is a non-binding presumption that a Survey is required unless otherwise agreed or waived in accordance with clause 8.3(b).

  • Where a previous Aboriginal Heritage Survey (whether conducted under this NSHA or otherwise) has, or if not clear, reasonably appears to have, covered the area the subject of the Activity Notice, there is no presumption either way as to whether a Survey is required.

  • Subject to confidentiality provisions, the Proponent must (if it is in their possession or control) provide by way of notice a copy of the written report of the previous Aboriginal Heritage Survey to SWALSC (if such copy has not already been provided with the Activity Notice).

  • In considering this factor, SWALSC will consider whether it is clear from the reported results of the previous Aboriginal Heritage Survey that the Activities disclosed in the Activity Notice can be carried out without damaging Aboriginal Heritage; and any relevant previous decisions by SWALSC under clause 8.3(b); and any other matter SWALSC reasonably considers relevant, including if appropriate a visit to the Agreement Area with representatives from the Proponent and from DPLH.

  • In considering this factor, SWALSC will consider whether it is clear from the reported results of the previous Aboriginal Heritage Survey that the Activities disclosed in the Activity Notice can be carried out without damaging Aboriginal Heritage; and any relevant previous decisions by SWALSC under clause 8.3(b); and any other matter SWALSC reasonably considers relevant, including if appropriate a visit to the Agreement Area with representatives from the Proponent and from DAA.

  • Aboriginal Heritage Survey Report means a report by a suitably qualified archaeologist, ethnographer, anthropologist or other heritage professional, that communicates the results of the Aboriginal heritage survey.

  • Guidance about the type of information to be included in the various types of Aboriginal Heritage Survey Reports is available from the DAA’s website.

  • An Activity Notice may also set out: whether there has been any previous Aboriginal Heritage Survey and, subject to any confidentiality restrictions, the age, methodology, participants, standard and results of that survey.

  • Aboriginal Heritage Survey means a survey conducted by a suitably qualified archaeologist, ethnographer, anthropologist or other heritage professional who investigates the Aboriginal heritage of an area.

  • Existing Survey means the existing ALTA survey of the Property.

  • Land surveyor means the land surveyor appointed by the Seller, to act as such from time to time in respect of the Development or a member of a firm so appointed.

  • South Caucasus/Central and South Asian (SC/CASA) state means Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.

  • Commercial real estate means real estate or an interest in real estate that is not any of the following:

  • Record of survey map means a map of a survey of land prepared in accordance with Section 10-9a-603, 17-23-17, 17-27a-603, or 57-8-13.

  • Water Service Connection means the pipes and fixtures used for the purpose of supplying any premises in the Municipality with water from the Corporation’s water works that is located between the Corporation’s watermain in the street and the street property line abutting the premises so supplied.

  • apartment building means a residential use building, or the residential use portion of a mixed-use building, other than a townhouse or stacked townhouse containing four or more dwelling units each of which shall have access to above grade common halls, stairs, elevators, and yards;

  • Landscape architect means a person who holds a license to practice landscape architecture in the state of California Business and Professions Code, Section 5615.

  • Residential real property means real property improved by a one to four family dwelling used or occupied, or intended to be used or occupied, wholly or partly, as the home or residence of one or more persons, but shall not refer to (a) unimproved real property upon which such dwellings are to be constructed or (b) condominium units or cooperative apartments or (c) property on a homeowners’ association that is not owned in fee simple by the seller.

  • Survey means a survey of the Property prepared by a surveyor licensed in the State and satisfactory to Lender and the company or companies issuing the Title Insurance Policy, and containing a certification of such surveyor satisfactory to Lender.

  • Juvenile correctional center, "JCC," or "facility" means a public or private facility, operated by or under contract with the Department of Juvenile Justice, where 24-hour per day care is provided to residents under the direct care of the department.

  • LOCKHEED MARTIN Procurement Representative means a person authorized by LOCKHEED MARTIN's cognizant procurement organization to administer and/or execute this Contract.

  • Youth center means any public or private facility that is primarily used to host recreational or social activities for minors, including, but not limited to, private youth membership organizations or clubs, social service teenage club facilities, video arcades, or similar amusement park facilities.

  • County Engineer means the holder of the statutory office of County Engineer for Harris County or the employee designated by the County Engineer to perform a task required by these Regulations.

  • Distribution center means a building or structure used primarily for the storage of goods which are intended for subsequent shipment to retail outlets. Distribution center does not mean a building or structure used primarily to store raw agricultural products, used primarily by a manufacturer to store goods to be used in the manufacturing process, used primarily for the storage of petroleum products, or used for the retail sale of goods.

  • existing industrial building means a building used for or in connection with,
