Abbreviated inspection definition
Abbreviated inspection means the inspection of a family child care provider to determine ongoing compliance with key indicators that statistically predict compliance with all applicable legal requirements for family child care providers. Abbreviated inspections are available for family child care providers who have been licensed for at least three years with the latest inspection finding no Level 4 violations. Providers must also not have had any substantiated licensing complaints that amount to a Level 4 violation, substantiated complaints of maltreatment, or sanctions under section 245A.07 in the past three years.
