The purpose of this byelaw is to amend certain provisions of the Agency Agreements Byelaw and the forms of the standard members’ agent’s agreement, the agents’ agreement and the managing agent’s agreements (both general and corporate member versions) scheduled thereto (“the standard agency agreements”) and all extant agreements in any of those forms, with effect from 1 January 2019. In particular, the byelaw amends the provisions by which syndicate capacity can be assigned between members, adds a new provision to the managing agent’s agreements in respect of managing agents providing services to Lloyd’s Insurance Company S.A., and updates various statutory and byelaw references and deletes or replaces spent provisions.
