History: The City of Painesville Economic Development Office has an Industrial Expansion Agreement that was signed June 13th, 2016. In this Industrial Expansion Agreement Mar-Bal Corporation agreed to create 219 full time positions with an annual payroll of $6,392,000. As a part of that agreement they also agreed to expand their facility by 20,000 to 35,000 sq. ft. With this expansion the Industrial Expansion Agreement states that the City will provide an option to Mar-Bal to expand onto an adjoining 5 acre parcel, owned by the City. This resolution gives the City Manager the authorization to sell or lease this land to Mar-Bal Inc., LLC.
