Council passed a by-law to authorize the Town to enter into an agreement with the owners of lands on which the York Regional Police Marine Unit building will be located. The agreement is required by the Ontario Building Code to permit the building to be constructed in close proximity to the south property line. The agreement restricts the owner of the neighbouring property from constructing within 6.0 metres of the south side of the new Marine Unit building.
