Amended by Chapter 298, 2003 General Session 2003 Cancellation upon request of a premium finance company. As used in this section: "Insurance premium finance company" means a person engaged in the business of entering into premium finance agreements. "Premium finance agreement" means an agreement by which an insured or prospective insured promises to pay to an insurance premium finance company the amount advanced or to be advanced under the agreement to an insurer or to an insurance producer in payment of premiums on an insurance policy, together with a service charge, an interest charge, or both. When a premium finance agreement contains a power of attorney or other authority enabling the insurance premium finance company to cancel any insurance policy listed in the agreement, the following applies: Not less than 10 days' written notice of the intent of the insurance premium finance company to order cancellation of the insurance policy, unless the policyholder's default is cured prior

5/8/2018 5/14/2019 Conditions for release after arrest for domestic violence and other offenses -- Jail release agreements -- Jail release court orders. As used in this section: "Domestic violence" means the same as that term is defined in Section 77-36-1. "Jail release agreement" means a written agreement described in Subsection (3) that: limits the contact an individual arrested for a qualifying offense may have with an alleged victim; and specifies other conditions of release from jail. "Jail release court order" means a written court order issued in accordance with Subsection (3) that: limits the contact an individual arrested for a qualifying offense may have with an alleged victim; and specifies other conditions of release from jail. "Minor" means an unemancipated individual who is younger than 18 years of age. "Offense against a child or vulnerable adult" means the commission or attempted commission of an offense described in Section 76-5-109, 76-5-109.1, 76-5-110, or 76-5-111.
