Request to Cancel Licence If you no longer maintain pro-rated plates (IRP – PR Numbered plates) or cease operating your business outside of Nova Scotia, you must notify the IFTA Administrator of any changes to your operations.Quarterly tax returns will continue to be mailed to the address on file until written notice is received from the IFTA licence holder. Penalty and interest will apply to any late returns.The cancellation request must be signed by the owner, partner or corporate officer of the IFTA licence holder, as listed with the Nova Scotia registry of joint stock companies. The signature of an agent, office manager or tax preparer is not acceptable.
