Autoclave Maintenance Contract: The Auburn University Poultry Science Department has four Getinge autoclaves located in the Poultry Science Building labs. The autoclaves in rooms 240 and 341 are small units with individual boilers for steam production. The units in room 346 consist of a smaller autoclave and a larger autoclave (used to autoclave biohazardous waste), both working from a single steam generator. Please see a complete list of the autoclave manufacturer, models, and locations below. To ensure the equipment is properly working, the instruments need to be under contract for quarterly preventative maintenance. Estimates should include the cost for labor, including inspections and callbacks. Estimates may also be submitted that include repair parts. For repairs, a 24 hour response time may be warranted in special circumstances, and it is important the contracted company can comply with this.
