This item further seeks the Board’s approval to authorize a one-year extension of existing contracts under the related Request for Proposals (RFP) solicitation numbers EHE-0521 and EHE-2223, which were authorized pursuant to Resolution Nos. R-716-21 and R-975-23, respectively. Despite the County’s best efforts in planning for ongoing EHE Initiative services, there has been indecision from the funders in the continuation of these grant resources. Even with the issuance of the Notice of Funding Opportunity, uncertainty persists. Extending said contracts in anticipation of this grant award will ensure that client services are not unnecessarily disrupted while a new RFP can be developed. The ability to continue these contracts is subject to the receipt of sufficient funding from HHS for EHE Initiative services.
