Contract Type FiledJuly 16th, 2025The governments of Canada, British Columbia, and the Nisga’a Nation are parties to the Nisga’a Final Agreement, which sets out Nisga’a Lands and the Nisga’a people’s right of self-government. Because three governments share responsibility for the treaty, an Implementation Committee was formed to provide a forum for sharing information and ideas, and to ensure the treaty’s implementation. This report—funded by the federal Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development—summarizes the progress made in the fourth year of the treaty, from April 1, 2003 to March 31, 2004.
