As part of the Health and Social Care Bill currently before Parliament, the role of Local Involvement Networks (LINk) across the country is changing and a new organisation known as Local Healthwatch will take over, incorporating a range of new functions. This is part of a reorganisation of the NHS that will further change the health and social care landscape giving more responsibilities to local authorities for provision and commissioning. It is also designed to give a stronger voice to local communities and service users in the way health services are run.
