ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY. It is the policy of the City to maintain a drug free workplace for the health and safety of all its employees and citizens. It has been and shall remain the City’s policy that the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession or use of a controlled substance by employees is prohibited in or on City property, or while acting in any capacity for the City. In addition, the consumption of alcoholic beverages or drugs that impair an employee's work ability are prohibited during working hours, including lunch or rest periods. Failure to comply with this policy may result in discipline up to and including termination.
