Your Duties. You must pay for and replace batteries as needed, unless the law provides otherwise. We may re- place dead or missing batteries at your expense, with- out prior notice to you. You must immediately report alarm or detector malfunctions to us. Neither you nor others may disable alarms or detectors. If you damage or disable the smoke alarm, or remove a battery with- out replacing it with a working battery, you may be li- able to us under Texas Property Code sec. 92.2611 for $100 plus one month’s rent, actual damages, and at- xxxxxx’x fees.
