The Union acknowledges that full participation and attendance in SHO meetings is required by the membership. As the Company rolls out SHOs across the factory, employees whose participation is required, as determined by the Company, will come into work fifteen (15) minutes prior to the start of their shift to attend the SHO meetings. Such employees will be compensated in accordance with article 21 for that fifteen (15) minute period. It is in the best interest of the employee, the Union and the Company to encourage early intervention and treatment to assist employees and members of their families towards full rehabilitation. Such assistance includes, but is not necessarily limited to, identification of the problem at the earliest stages, motivating the individual to obtain help, referral of the individual to appropriate treatment and rehabilitation facilities and a continuing education of employees and Union and management representatives alike to recognize and deal constructively with such problems as they arise. An employee who undergoes a prescribed rehabilitative process will be entitled to Sickness and Accident benefits in accordance with the Sickness and Accident plan.
