Workplace Grievances. A formal grievance over a workplace issue shall be filed with the immediate supervisor.
Workplace Grievances. 2.5.1 All workplace grievances or concerns about this agreement will be dealt with in accordance with the following procedure: Step 1 Any Employee with any enquiry, grievance, or complaint regarding any aspect of their employment may raise the matter initially with their immediate work Supervisor. Step 2 If the matter cannot be resolved at Step 1, the Employee will discuss the matter with the next higher level of management. Step 3 If the matter is not resolved at Step 2, and if both parties agree, the matter may be referred to an accredited workplace mediator for resolution. Step 4 If agreement has not been reached within 14 days (or a mutually agreed longer period) after the matter has been dealt with in accordance with Step 3, then the matter may be referred to the AIRC for resolution. 2.5.2 Whilst any of the above steps are being followed the status quo will prevail and work will continue normally, if safe, until settlement is reached. No party will be prejudiced as to the final settlement by the continuance of work in accordance with this sub-clause. 2.5.3 Any Order of the AIRC (subject to the partiesright of appeal under the Act) will be final and binding on all parties to the dispute. 2.5.4 The Employee may request a representative to be present at any of the above stages.
