Workers' Compensation Supplement. An employee absent because of illness or injury compensable under the Workers' Compensation Law shall receive the difference between Workers' Compensation payments and his regular pay. The amount of such payments shall be covered by the employee's accumulated sick leave credit. An employee absent due to such an illness/injury shall continue to receive health insurance benefits for up to one (1) year or until qualified for Medicare/Medicaid, workers' compensation or long-term disability, whichever comes first.
