Common use of Worked Holidays Clause in Contracts

Worked Holidays. Twelve month employees who are required to work on the above described holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus one and one-half (1 1/2) times their base rate for all hours worked on such holidays.

Example: 6-hour employee works 4 hours on a holiday. The employee shall receive 6 hours holiday pay plus an additional 6 hours of pay for the time worked (4 hours at the overtime rate of 1.5 times the hours worked), for all a total of 12 hours worked on such holidaysof pay.
