Common use of WORK STOPPAGE Clause in Contracts

WORK STOPPAGE. SECTION 1 Since adequate provision has been made in this Agreement for settlement of all disputes that may arise between the parties, the Union agrees that it will not encourage, sanction, authorize or approve any strike, work stoppage, slowdown, or interruption of work during the term of this Agreement and that it will actively endeavor to prevent or terminate any such activity by any of its members. It is agreed that any employee engaging in any of the activities prohibited by this Article, shall be subject to such discipline as the Employer shall deem appropriate up to and including termination. It is further agreed that the Company will not lock out any employee(s) during the term of this Agreement.
