WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULES. A. Regular Work Week A regular workweek for employees will consist of seven (7) calendar days beginning on Sunday at 12:01 A.M. through Saturday 12:00 Midnight.
WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULES. The schedules of temporary employees are established by the University. The temporary employee hired to replace a permanent full- time employee or a probationary employee works the hours of the employee he is replacing.

Regardless of specific starting and ending time, every employee’s regular work schedule shall include a lunch break, of not less than thirty (30) minutes, and two (2), fifteen (15) minute rest periods. Lunch break is unpaid time, and any authorized work performed by an employee during the employee’s lunch break may be compensated at the overtime rate, as provided elsewhere in this MOU. Employees shall be scheduled so that there are no “split” days off. Proposed changes to existing schedules for employees covered by this MOU may be subject to “impact” bargaining.

When a shift in the Facility Services Division of the Department of Internal Services becomes available due to an employee’s resignation, promotion, termination, etc., management agrees to fill the shift on the basis of classification series seniority, staffing needs, employee experience, and the needs and desires of employees. All other factors being relatively equal, as determined by management, employee seniority will be the primary consideration. Regardless of specific starting and ending time, every employee’s regular work schedule shall include a lunch break, of not less than thirty (30) minutes, and two (2), fifteen (15) minute rest periods.
