Work Flow. Over the past two years, the MIT Genome Center's Informatics Core has gained extensive experience in database and sample-tracking issues, and developed three major systems: LabBase, Workflow Manager, and BuilderIO. Our laboratory informatics system has been developed to allow FINISHER to download instructions to robotic workstations. With the direct incorporation of the sequencing instrumentation into workflow we will be able to place the instrument into an automated environment and take advantage of the advanced base calling software.
