WORK DAY AND WORK YEAR. 1. During the collaborative discussions utilizing the interest based bargaining model which resulted in a successor agreement, representatives of the parties reached consensus on several important issues concerning the need to more adequately respect the time constraints placed upon teaching professionals. More specifically, though the language of the Agreement broadly references an eight (8) hour day (“on the average”), there was recognition that teachers often work in excess of that, whether it be on campus or off.
