The 'Within a Work Area' clause defines the rights, responsibilities, or restrictions that apply specifically within a designated work area on a project site. Within a Work Area. The Appointing Authority shall have the right to assign and reassign duties among employees in a class within a work area. This includes the right to reassign employees to an unfilled position in the same class and same employment condition and shift and work area provided such reassignment is within thirty-five (35) miles. Any reassignment under this subdivision is not a vacancy as defined in Section 1 of this Article.
