While Away from the Insured Premises Clause Samples

The "While Away from the Insured Premises" clause defines the coverage or limitations that apply to insured property when it is temporarily removed from the primary insured location. Typically, this clause outlines whether and to what extent insurance protection continues for items taken off-site, such as personal belongings brought on vacation or business equipment used at a remote location. Its core function is to clarify the insurer’s responsibility for losses occurring away from the main premises, thereby preventing disputes and ensuring policyholders understand the scope of their coverage when property is not at its usual location.
While Away from the Insured Premises. You may apply up to 10 percent of the Coverage C limit to cover personal property, while away from the insured premises, which is usual to the occupancy of the dwelling as a residence. The personal property must be owned or used by you, or your family members who reside with you.
While Away from the Insured Premises. (This coverage applies only when an 80% or higher coinsurance provision is shown on the Declarations page). You may apply up to 2% of the Coverage B limit of insurance, up to $5,000 to your business property covered under this policy while temporarily at locations that you do not own, control, operate or lease. This coverage applies only if loss or damage is caused by a cause of loss covered under this policy. This coverage does not apply to: a. merchandise or stock; b. property held for rental; c. your business samples.
While Away from the Insured Premises. What We Pay For: We pay up to $1,000 for loss or damage from covered causes of loss to your business property (other than tools and equipment) covered under this policy while temporarily at locations that you do not own, control, operate or lease. What We Pay For: We pay the necessary medical expenses incurred or medically determined within one year from the date of an accident causing bodily injury to which this coverage applies. While Away from the Insured Premises. You may apply the Coverage C-Personal Property amount of insurance to cover personal property owned or used by an insured anywhere in the world. This provision does not increase the Coverage C-Personal Property amount of insurance.
While Away from the Insured Premises. What We Pay For: We pay up to $1,000 for loss or damage from covered causes of loss to your business property covered under this policy while temporarily at locations that you do not own, control, operate or lease.
While Away from the Insured Premises. We pay up to $1,000, or the additional amount shown on the Declarations, for loss or damage from covered causes of loss to your business property while temporarily at locations that you do not own, control, operate or lease.
While Away from the Insured Premises. This coverage applies only when an 80% or higher coinsurance provision is shown in the Declarations, or if the type of policy in the Declarations is indicated as Businessowners. We pay up to 5% of the Coverage B-Business Property amount of insurance, up to $10,000 per occurrence, for accidental direct physical loss or damage to your covered property from a covered cause of loss while it is temporarily away from the insured premises: a. At locations you do not own, operate or lease; or b. At any fair, trade show or exhibition. This Incidental Coverage does not apply to property: a. In or on a vehicle; b. At any off premises job site where you are conducting operations; or c. In the care, custody or control of your salespeople, unless the property is in such care, custody or control at a fair, trade show or exhibition.
While Away from the Insured Premises. You may apply up to 10 percent of the Coverage C limit of liability or $500 (whichever is more) to cover personal property owned or used by an insured, while away from the insured premises, anywhere in the world. This does not increase the Coverage C limit of liability.
