The term Welfare Benefit Plan as used in this Article 5 refers to any plan, fund or program as defined under Section 3(1) of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act ("ERISA"), which has been established and is maintained by the Company for the purpose of providing its employees or their beneficiaries, through the purchase of insurance or otherwise, medical, surgical, hospital care or benefits, or benefits in the event of sickness, accident, disability or death, provided that such term shall not include the Xxxxxxx First Endorsement Split-Dollar Life Insurance Program.
