Welders a) The following shall be the recognized classifications of “Welder” in the collective agreement as per the criteria established by the British Columbia Industry Training Authority’s (ITA). Welder rates of pay are contained in Supplement #1, Wage Scale for Non-Evaluated Wage Rates.
Welders. (a) Welders shall be classed as Journeymen and shall receive Journeymen’s wages except those Welders who, in the shop, weld on assembly work and/or weld for a Journeyman who does the fitting in preparation for the weld or who completes the weld. Such Welders shall receive as wages not less than eighty-five percent (85%) of the Journeyman’s rate of pay.
Welders. 19.01 All Pipe Welders employed in connection with the installation of work under the terms of this Agreement shall be members of Local Union 324 and provide proof of their competency; this is not to include Welders who might be employed for short periods on alterations, repairs or temporary work -- short periods not to exceed eight (8) hours on any one (1) job on alterations, repairs or temporary work.

Welders. The Employer shall supply welders' leather vests or jackets and leather gauntlet gloves to all members assigned to welding work on a "charge-out" basis. Notwithstanding the provisions of this Agreement, it is recognized that the Council and the Local Union(s) may, in conjunction with the Employer, determine on a job-by-job, area, or sector basis, if special dispensation is required to become competitive and, should the necessity arise, by mutual agreement amend or delete terms or conditions of the Agreement for the duration of the job. In order for the Union to consider said dispensation, the Employer must complete the Construction Maintenance and Allied Workers Canada (the Union) Enabling form and submit to the Local for consideration.
