Wastewater Reuse. Xxx Xxxxxxxx DEQ staff work with municipal and industrial wastewater facilities to permit the recycling of treated wastewater effluent and provide technical assistance to those facilities engaged in the practice of reuse. Wastewater reuse is a tool in the “tool box” for municipalities and potentially industrial wastewater dischargers as another option for managing their treated wastewater. Having additional “tools” provides these stakeholders with options that may be more economical and/or environmentally sound, and can be an additional source of water for non-drinking water practices. Most wastewater reuse occurs through land application to crops and golf courses, and there is increasing interest to reuse treated effluent for industrial and commercial applications. DEQ works with the Oregon Healthy Authority and Water Resources Department on the permitting of this practice. 401 Water Quality Certification–Xxxxx Xxxxxx Section 401 of the federal Clean Water Act requires that any federal license or permit to conduct an activity that may result in a discharge to waters of the State receive certification from DEQ that the activity complies with water quality requirements and standards before the activity is allowed. In order to provide a certification, DEQ reviews proposed project applications to dredge, fill, or otherwise alter a waterway or wetland to ensure that the projects will meet water quality program requirements. The federal relicensing of hydroelectric projects also requires a 401 water quality certification from DEQ as a condition of the operating license of the facility. For dredge and fill projects, DEQ issues approximately 150 individual WQCs per biennia that contain conditions that provide protective measures for water quality and beneficial uses. DEQ provides support for EPA reviews of 401 water quality certification program activities related to proposed dredge and fill projects. Additionally, DEQ provides a great deal of technical assistance throughout the permit process. DEQ also issues programmatic type WQCs that cover groups of activities with protective conditions in an effort to provide a streamlined approach to the regulatory process.   • Wastewater Developer shall install all required sewer lines and appurtenances. Prior to the issuance of any building permits for the Development, all sanitary sewer improvements shall be substantially completed as determined by the Town and all associated wastewater capacity fees shall be paid.

  • Dewatering 4.7.1 Where a part of a site is affected by surface water following a period of rain, thus rendering some areas unsafe for productive work, consistent with the Employer’s obligations under the OH&S Act, all non- trades employees shall assist in ‘dewatering’ their own work site or area if it is so affected. Such work to be paid at single time rates. Productive work will continue in areas not so affected.

  • Stormwater Notwithstanding any other provisions or terms of this Agreement, Company acknowledges that certain properties within the Premises or on Authority-owned land are subject to stormwater rules and regulations. Company agrees to observe and abide by such stormwater rules and regulations as may be applicable to the Premises, and, if applicable, Company hereby expressly covenants, warrants, and represents to Authority, in connection with Company’s operations on the Premises, the following:

  • Stormwater Management The Owner agrees that stormwater management measures shall be applicable to the development of the Lands, in a manner which is in accordance with the provisions of The Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.D.17 and amendments thereto, and to the satisfaction of the Municipality's Engineer.

  • Materials of Environmental Concern have not been transported or disposed of from the Properties in violation of, or in a manner or to a location that could give rise to liability under, any Environmental Law, nor have any Materials of Environmental Concern been generated, treated, stored or disposed of at, on or under any of the Properties in violation of, or in a manner that could give rise to liability under, any applicable Environmental Law;

  • Underground Facilities All underground pipelines, conduits, ducts, cables, wires, manholes, vaults, tanks, tunnels, or other such facilities or attachments, and any encasements containing such facilities, including without limitation those that convey electricity, gases, steam, liquid petroleum products, telephone or other communications, cable television, water, wastewater, storm water, other liquids or chemicals, or traffic or other control systems.

  • Materials of Environmental Concern “Materials of Environmental Concern” include chemicals, pollutants, contaminants, wastes, toxic substances, petroleum and petroleum products and any other substance that is now or hereafter regulated by any Environmental Law or that is otherwise a danger to health, reproduction or the environment.

  • Project Site The “Project Site” is the place where the Work is being carried on.

  • The Site The site of the Project Highway (the “Site”) shall comprise the site described in Schedule-A in respect of which the Right of Way shall be provided by the Authority to the Contractor. The Authority shall be responsible for:

  • Transportation Management Tenant shall fully comply with all present or future programs intended to manage parking, transportation or traffic in and around the Building, and in connection therewith, Tenant shall take responsible action for the transportation planning and management of all employees located at the Premises by working directly with Landlord, any governmental transportation management organization or any other transportation-related committees or entities.
