  • Teachers An individual who is a resident of a Contracting State immediately before making a visit to the other Contracting State, and who, at the invitation of any university, college, school or other similar educational institution, which is recognised by the competent authority in that other Contracting State, visits that other Contracting State for a period not exceeding two years solely for the purpose of teaching or research or both at such educational institution shall be exempt from tax in that other Contracting State on his remuneration for such teaching or research.

  • Veterans An employee who is a Veteran has a right to appeal to the Civil Service Commission a permanent demotion (including salary decreases), or a discharge, if the employee submits a notice of appeal within thirty (30) calendar days of the date of mailing by the Employer of notice of the disciplinary action, regardless of status with respect to the probationary period. An employee who is a Veteran has a right to appeal to the Civil Service Commission a suspension of over thirty (30) days if the employee submits a notice of appeal within ten (10) calendar days of the date of mailing by the Employer of notice of the disciplinary action. An employee who is a Veteran may have additional rights under the Veterans Preference Act, Minnesota Statutes §197.46.

  • Special Education Teachers Whenever any Elementary Special Education class to which a student(s) is(are) added as a result of the distribution of students from the class of an absent Elementary Special Education teacher, Article 8-7 shall be in effect.
