Vehicle Equipment. Rural carriers shall furnish all necessary vehicle equip- ment for prompt handling of the mail unless the vehicle is furnished by the Employer. The Employer reserves the right to provide vehicles at its option to any route. For each day on which a carrier or replacement who is required to provide a vehicle receives pay in an active duty status as a rural carrier, such employee shall be paid for EMA for the day determined from the applica- ble schedule.

Vehicle Equipment. The rear axle may be indifferently fitted with 2 or 4 tyres. For the reference tyre testing, both axles are fitted with reference tyres. Vehicle Equipment. Every reasonable effort will be taken to retain assigned vehicles/equipment to the route selected by the employee. Employees shall be provided with appropriate personal protective equipment based on the operational needs of the District or the job duties of the employee. Employees will follow safe practices and operating methods on all jobs assigned. Employees shall be required to wear the safety devices, protective clothing, or equipment provided by management for employee protection.

Vehicle Equipment. The Employer agrees to install in each new emergency vehicle an AM/FM radio with speakers in the driver's compartment. The radio shall not be turned on during radio transmissions and will be used with discretion regarding the patients' well being.
