Vacation Coverage and Requests i. In Periods 1 and 3, EDO’s/vacation requests shall be limited to one (1) operator from each Shift Group at any time. All EDO’s shall be scheduled in advance of any vacation, per section 2 above. ii. There will be no overtime or shift change costs incurred by the Company when scheduling Vacation. iii. The year is divided into quarters for vacation purposes. iv. Requests submitted prior to the first day of the month preceding the start of the quarter will be granted on the basis of seniority. v. Requests submitted after the start of the quarter will be granted on a first come/first reserve basis. vi. All Vacation requests must be scheduled by August 31 for the current year. If vacation is not scheduled, the company will schedule the remaining vacation according to availability. vii. Vacation requests will be scheduled by a designated operator of each shift as per this guide.
