Usufruct Clause Samples
A usufruct clause grants one party the legal right to use and benefit from property owned by another, without transferring ownership. In practice, this means the usufructuary can live in, rent out, or collect income from the property, but cannot sell or significantly alter it. This clause is commonly used in inheritance or trust arrangements to provide for a spouse or family member while preserving the property for future heirs. Its core function is to balance the interests of different parties by separating the rights to use and enjoy property from the rights of ultimate ownership.
