Common use of Upgradings Clause in Contracts

Upgradings. An upgrading is the reclassification of a position from one classification to another classification having a higher base salary range. Whenever an incumbent employee is upgraded as a result of such reclassification, pursuant to the Personnel Rules, such employee’s step placement in the new salary range shall be governed by the Article on “Promotions.”
