Up/Down Tests Sample Clauses

Up/Down Tests. Basic up/down monitoring is performed on Customer Devices. Up/down status is determined based on Internet Control Message Protocol (“ICMP”) polling which is performed at most every 480 seconds (8 minutes). Each up/down test is performed by sending two ICMP packets to Customer’s Device(s). If any ICMP packet is returned to the Monitoring server in less than three (3) seconds Customer Device is considered to be up and the network path is considered to be fully available. No alert will be sent. If neither ICMP packet is returned to the Monitoring server then Customer Device will be considered down. After three consecutive occurrences of the error condition, an alert will be sent to Bright Bear and/or to an e-mail contact defined by Customer. This feature requires ICMP access to Customer Device. Customer is responsible for working with Bright Bear to ensure that Customer Device responds to ICMP packets.
