Common use of UNION SECURITY (Dues Deduction Clause in Contracts

UNION SECURITY (Dues Deduction. 7.01 The Hospital will deduct from each employee in the bargaining unit an amount equal to the regular monthly union dues designated by the Union. The amount of regular monthly dues shall be as certified to the Hospital by the Treasurer of the Union from time to time. The amounts so deducted shall be remitted by the Hospital to the Union’s Accounting Department no later than the 15th of the month following the month in which such deductions were made. In consideration of the deducting and forwarding of union dues by the Hospital, the Union agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Hospital against any claims or liabilities arising or resulting from the operation of this Article.
