Union Release Time. (a) It is acknowledged by the parties that all Union stewards and other Union representatives have regular duties to perform as employees of the University. Therefore, Union stewards and other Union representatives will not leave their duties without first obtaining the permission of their supervisor, or designate. The agreement will be between the employee and her supervisor and will be in writing, specifying the details of the time and date the missed work will be performed. (e) All employees shall be entitled to 1 one hour paid leave each fiscal year for the purposes of attending the annual General Meeting of the Union. (f) The Union shall provide the University with written notification of the date and time of its annual General Meeting 30 days in advance. Employees who plan to attend shall provide reasonable notice to their supervisor.
