Union Prohibition. The Union does hereby affirm and agree that during the term of this Agreement it will not either directly or indirectly, call, sanction, encourage, finance or assist in any way, nor shall any employee instigate, or participate, either directly or indirectly, in any strike, slowdown, walkout, work stoppage or the withholding of services from the Employer. Nothing herein is intended to restrict in any way the Union’s right and ability to represent any member or members alleged to have violated the prohibitions set forth in this section.

Explanation: Language prohibits the Union, during the term of the contract, from engaging in any type of concerted activity that results in the withholding of services by employees of the Employer. Such prohibition does not prevent the Union from representing those employees who do violate such terms. Members of Bargaining Units 1 and 15 are also prohibited from striking under Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4117.
